Are you still looking for that perfect present for your loved ones this Christmas?
We were very lucky to be invited to visit Doodle Pots Cafe in holt to make one of their beautiful Christmas baubles.
I’d never been before but had heard great things so I was very excited.
We were greeted by Caroline the Owner and she showed us to the baby room and introduced us to Charlie.
There were lots of samples of pottery displayed to give you ideas of designs you could create. I love all the hand made signs they have around the place, it makes you feel really welcome.
I immediately wanted everything, and made a mental list for grandmas/grandads/nanny’s birthday and Christmas presents!
Caroline and Charlie were so lovely and brilliant with Elijah! Charlie was sitting on the floor playing with Elijah while I was taking a few photos, he thought it was great!
Caroline painted onto a sheet of acetate, then placed this on the bauble, she then put Elijah’s hand on it,
straightened his fingers gently and pulled the acetate out.
She then pressed gently down, lifted his hand a voila!
We could choose what was written on the bauble and the decoration, we chose ‘Elijah’s First Christmas’ with some holly decoration.
We had a really lovely morning, Caroline and Charlie made us feel so relaxed and I even had a hot cup of tea! They are really committed to making the shop an easy and relaxing place for parents and children.
The finished product
The writing and decoration is all done by Caroline and Charlie, I am not that creative! But if you are, your welcome to create your own design.
How cute is his little hand??!
Im so pleased with how it looks and I can’t wait to get it on the tree, I’m really looking forward to going back to Doodle Pots to make some lovely gifts. They even do adult only evenings, I think I might have to have a go at being creative!
The bauble that we made is £12.50 + a one off studio fee of £3.75 and if you want Caroline or Charlie to do the artwork for you just add £3. Make sure you book a slot so your not disappointed.
Note: We were invited to make a complimentary Christmas bauble in exchange for an honest review
