Samuel loves dinosaurs. . . . Well the quiet ones anyway ! We found this out after a recent trip to the Dinosaur Adventure Park when he was rather scared of the dinosaur noises!!
Here’s a few of our favourite Dinosaur reads:
This was one of the first dinosaur books we got, and it was a great start. I love Julia Donaldson books because they are so easy to read, they have a lovely rhythm and great Rhymes.
I love the illustrations in this book they are so imaginative and tactile!
The dinosaurs are made up of finger prints, everyday items and food.
I love how they try to help you out with the dinosaur names, I still struggle!
Bumpus Jumpus Dinosaurumpus
By Tony Mitton and Guy Parker-Rees
This is a great story with lovely illustrations, you almost have to sing this one which is great fun, it has a fantastic rhythm and is a joy to read.
George’s New Dinosaur
I couldn’t leave this out! This is Samuel’s go to book!
It’s what you would expect from a Peppa Pig book, a simple story with bright illustrations. Samuel loves it and it’s great for a quick story before bed.
Bang! Boom! Roar!
By Nate Evans and Stephanie Gwyn Brown, illustrated by Christopher Santori
I have included this book dokey for the illustrations! I find the story very clunky and hard to read but the illustrations are fantastic.
I find myself making up my own story when we look at this book, or just talking about all the machines and dinosaurs we can see.
This is one of Samuel’s favourite pages, he loves the dinosaur squirting his mustard!
